Notes: Build a Life’ represents a reinvigorated direction for B&Q - it highlights that there’s so much more to everyday DIY, celebrating life in the home and the power of home improvement to change lives, at a time when we were all spending much more time at home. Together with director Chris Hewitt, editor Lewis Noll edited down hundreds of hours of real home video footage then seamlessly cut these together with scenes from newly shot footage to create a euphoric visual poem about the Brits' love for home. The snippets of real home videos (sixty-nine, in fact) represent the sixty-nine cities across the UK and provide relatable and resonant scenes with which the viewer can connect.
